 History. Paco Alcalde is a family restaurant established in 1921. It has been passed from grandfather to father to son, so today it is operated by the third generation of the family. It has become the most authentic restaurant in Barcelona, where besides being able to find the freshest fish purchased every day, you will find the best seafood and famous paellas and rice dishes we are known for.
Our Specialties

We offer seafood cuisine: black rice, monkfish pasta, all i pebre, abuelo Luis's suquillo, tarragon monkfish, Mediterranean lobster with lemon, deep-fried squid, baby octopus with onions, mini octopus, sea cucumbers, San Carlos prawns, garlic shrimp, live marinated clams, oysters, date mussels, and sea snails.
We also offer traditional Catalan dishes: jamón ibérico and tomato bread, all i oli, and fried fish, among many other dishes. And of course delicious desserts: crema catalana, fried milk squares, and hot chocolate eclairs.
Guests may also make a selection from our wine list, where they can choose between Spanish and Catalan wines from every region. The restaurant's inviting fisherman atmosphere includes several rooms and special menus for groups and companies.
